QLink lab user interface

Design and implementation of a GUI framework for lab environments for QuTech

Within QuTech there is a need to be able to fully monitor and control setups remotely. Also while experiments are evolving, different operational views are needed to support the experiments. After a requirement analysis and design proposal, a GUI with general framework and UI widget library has been developed together with specialised views. The software can easily be extended with different (model) interfaces and views and reused for other labs. Developed in Python and PySide2.

Cirrus D20 client

Together with Jigsaw I have worked on the client design and development of the BiosparQ medical device Cirrus D20.

BiosparQ developed technology and a product that will allow (near) real time identification of bacteria cells without the need for cultivation. To fully automate the machine, a small software team was built. My role was to design and develop the expert GUI (Qt) needed to interact with the complex machine, provide and visualise intermediate analysis results and create an easy to use interface for lab analysts. Developed in C++ and Qt.

Plotwise

I joined for a short period the API backend team at Plotwise (previously Calendar42) My work consisted of the design and implementation of an API layer to allow upscaling of the planning platform. (Python)

Lapp

Algorithm design for the speed skating app Lapp.

“With Lapp you can train as a professional speed skater. Lapp is specially developed for a 400m ice ring. You will have access to a multitude of relevant training details, which will give you insight in your skating performance. Lapp registers the number of laps, lap times, number of strokes, and heart rate*. This insight will facilitate more efficient training. In addition, it is fun to keep track of your skate performance.”  lapptheapp.com
